New associates are typically assigned to work with a mentor in one practice area, but each associate is encouraged to obtain experience in a variety of areas of law before focusing on one. Our Associates Committee eases the transition for new associates by developing opportunities and training to help integrate them into the firm. These include associate dinners and practice area luncheons.

Our summer associate program is an important recruiting tool. We make an effort to see that summer associates work with as many lawyers in the firm as possible, but we're also happy to try to accommodate a more focused experience. The program is designed to give our summer associates a realistic view of life as an associate at the firm and to get to know firm attorneys.
