Patrick (Rick) Boyd is an intellectual property attorney with a special focus on patents. He practices in Ater Wynne's growing Patent Practice Group, and is registered (since 2003) to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Rick brings to the practice more than 15 years of engineering experience in materials, equipment, and semiconductor-related manufacturing processes cultivated while working at Intel Corporation. As an inventor himself, Rick holds at least 11 issued patents and other patents pending.
Rick has written and successfully prosecuted patent applications in a broad array of technical disciplines, and is recognized by his clients for his ability to rapidly grasp both the nature and advantages of their inventions.
