Ater Wynne Partner, Leslie G. Bottomly, Appointed to Multnomah County Bench

Ater Wynne is honored to announce that Leslie G. Bottomly, Partner, has been appointed by Governor Kate Brown to the Multnomah County Circuit Court effective March 1, 2016.

Ater Wynne is proud to have a history of producing attorneys that are appointed to the bench. Ms. Bottomly will be the eighth attorney from Ater Wynne to serve in Oregon's Judicial Department. These include:

  • The Honorable Kristena A. LaMar, Multnomah County Circuit Court, 1984 to 2009.
  • The Honorable Jack L Landau, Oregon Supreme Court, 2011 to present; Oregon Court of Appeals, 1993 to 2010.
  • The Honorable Rex Armstrong, Oregon Court of Appeals, 1994 to present.
  • The Honorable Janice R. Wilson, Multnomah County Circuit Court, 1994 to 2015; District Court Bench, 1991 to 1994.
  • The Honorable Richard T. Haselton, Oregon Court of Appeals, 1994 to 2016. He became Chief Judge on April 1, 2012.
  • The Honorable  Robert Wollheim, Oregon Court of Appeals, 1998 to present. 
  • The Honorable Thomas A. Balmer, Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court, 2012 to present; Oregon Supreme Court, 2001 to 2012.

Bottomly’s practice focuses on advising organizations on strategic employment matters and advising health care organizations on a broad range of business and compliance matters. In addition, she is a sought after neutral, serving as an arbitrator and mediator to help parties resolve their disputes. She joined Ater Wynne as a Associate in 1990 and became a Partner in 1999.  Leslie currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Health Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and is a former member of the Board of Directors of Raphael House, a non-profit serving the needs of victims of domestic violence.
