Ater Wynne is pleased to announce the expansion of the firm’s Litigation Group with the addition of two associates, Alexandra “Alex” Shulman and Daniel “Danny” Lis.
“We are thrilled that Alex and Daniel have joined us, said Todd Mitchell, Ater Wynne’s Managing Partner. “Both are highly-skilled and energetic litigation associates that will help support the firms complex business client matters and disputes.”
Alex’s practice is focused on commercial litigation, employment litigation, professional liability defense and business disputes. Prior to joining Ater Wynne, Alex was an associate at Scott Dukes & Geisler, P.C., a litigation firm in Birmingham, Alabama. Early in her career, Alex has already tried and brought several cases to verdict. While in law school, Alex served as Production Editor for the Virginia Tax Review, as well as a Dillard Fellow, assisting first-year students with legal research and writing.
Daniel concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, employment litigation and business disputes. Mr. Lis brings over six years’ experience representing investors and businesses in a broad array of commercial disputes and counseling commercial clients on legal obligations and strategies. Early in Danny’s career he represented a case involving the four largest Illinois casinos as plaintiffs against Illinois race tracks in civil RICO, civil conspiracy, and unjust enrichment related to the defendants’ conspiracy to bribe a former Illinois Governor. Danny was part of the four-person trial team that obtained a jury verdict for $81 million in Illinois Federal Court.
Prior to joining Ater Wynne, Daniel was an associate at Andalman & Greene Law, LLC, a trial and litigation firm in Chicago, IL. Daniel served on the Editorial and Production Board for The John Marshall Law Review while he was in law school.
