Portland, Oregon – Frank X. Curci, a partner and bioscience, intellectual property and business attorney at the law firm of Ater Wynne LLP, has been re-elected to another term on the board of directors of Cancer Research And Biostatistics (CRAB®). Curci is also the chair of CRAB's Strategic Planning Committee.
CRAB is a nonprofit bioscience organization based in Seattle. CRAB's primary mission is to help conquer cancer by participating in key aspects of designing, conducting and analyzing the results arising out of cancer clinical trials. CRAB also takes a leadership role in forming collaborations and other strategic alliances with biopharmaceutical companies and other research institutions to foster cancer clinical trials and clinical drug development.

Portland, Oregon – Ater Wynne is pleased to announce that Senior Counsel Claudia K. Powers has been appointed to Co-Chair the Cleaner Air Oregon Advisory Committee. Governor Kate Brown announced the launch of Cleaner Air Oregon in April 2016 as a new initiative to reform industrial air toxics emissions regulations and to better protect public health and environmental quality, while supporting an innovative and competitive economy in Oregon’s communities. The Oregon Health Authority and the Department of Environmental Quality are convening the Advisory Committee as part of the effort to bring together an all-inclusive range of stakeholders and engage the public in a formal rulemaking process that will reform Oregon’s industrial air toxics regulations.
Claudia Powers is chair of the Environmental Practice Group at Ater Wynne. She is a noted expert in environmental law and has worked extensively with local, state, and federal regulators to successful effect for over 30 years.
